Bandstand of Stories is a sensitive project conceived by Julia Santalucia, which takes as its starting point the bandstand in Dr. Horácio Ramalho Square, in Taquaritinga (SP). More than just a setting, the bandstand is an axis and a meeting point: it crosses paths, points out directions, gathers voices, and welcomes the eight stories that make up the book.
Stories are born, reverberate, and transform around them — young people searching for love, a child discovering their stage, memories of an old cemetery, a new carnival parade, an open sky that becomes home, and even an unlikely encounter between grandfather and granddaughter.
I was responsible for the graphic design and layout, closely following the entire process: from the initial ideas to the interviews, from the pre-sale campaign to the launch held in the bandstand itself, in December 2024.
A journey lived with attention, listening, and a lot of heart.
