Disobedient books? What can a book be?
Free Reading is a reVOAr activity that invites children, families, educators, librarians, reading mentors and anyone curious to immerse themselves in a special collection of books that challenge conventions, spark curiosity and call for attentive hands and inquisitive eyes.
Drawing on a selection from the reVOAr experimental library’s collection, the aim is to explore, touch, experiment with and reinvent the act of reading. A space for discovery where reading takes place as a living, open and shared experience — and where each participant can (re)construct meanings and imagine new ways of relating to books and the world.
The activity also includes a period of free experimentation, with the creation of small books using fold-out structures and collages.

Come and discover books that inspire action and spark the imagination.
