Me, little bird

Where are the birds?

One morning in September 2012, the artist Eliza Freire and I scattered around 150 paper birds around the Dr Arnaldo flyover in the city of São Paulo, with the aim of encouraging passers-by to take a closer look at the city.

From this movement emerged the intervention Me, Little Bird, which ended up flying to 7 other viaducts in São Paulo and to other cities in Brazil and Portugal.

And so Desejos Urbanos was born, an urban poetry collective that explores the relationship between people and urban spaces through playful interaction and art.
